Huarache Farms
Sierra Madre, CA 91024 · private property, no public visits
Sundays, 9 am to 2 pm at the Atwater Village Farmers Market
About
A veganic urban farm in Sierra Madre, started by Michael Wood: a group of city growers raising microgreens, sprouts, greens, herbs and seasonal fruit in backyards, using hydroponics, water gardens, wicking soil beds, sprouting systems and vertical towers, with no animals or manure. "We focus on growing food for people directly." For now they sell only at the Atwater Village Farmers Market on Sundays; the farm itself is a private backyard, not open for visits.
