Founder, Underwood Family Farms
Craig Underwood, a fourth-generation farmer from a family farming in Southern California since 1867, started Underwood Family Farms on five acres in Moorpark in 1980. It has grown to more than 200 acres in Moorpark and Somis, with U-pick fields, seasonal festivals and farm tours for about 60,000 school children a year.
The farm sells at 13 farmers markets each week, including Pasadena's Victory Park on Saturdays, South Pasadena on Thursdays and Hollywood on Sundays.
