SEEAG (Students for Eco-Education and Agriculture)
SEEAG is a Ventura-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that teaches students and the public where food comes from, with hands-on, science-based lessons on working farms. Its free Farm Lab field trips bring third graders to farms, and it runs agriculture career and youth nutrition programs in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.
It started Ventura County Farm Day in 2013: one Saturday a year when more than 15 farms, ranches and agricultural groups open to the public for free tours, tractor rides and tastings, with an online trail map to drive between them. Santa Barbara County Farm Day followed in 2019, and its Farm Day Every Day program offers free farm tours through the year, including at McGrath Family Farm in Camarillo.
